Gettin' Out of Town: A PEMCo Revue
Directed by Daniel Shaw ('21)
Music Directed by Solomon Duane ('24)

COVID has kept us at home and in our dorm rooms, but it can't stop us from travelling in the world of musical theatre!! For this theme, we want to tell a story of an adventurous journey and we are looking for songs about any aspect of traveling. These could include songs about leaving home, adventuring in a new place, reminiscing about a part of the world, or returning home after a trip. Songs about particular places in the world (cities, countries, etc.) are great! We are also interested in including songs about people stuck at home and feeling left out, so feel free to explore this idea in your song choice for auditions!

TRIVIA NIGHT

We are excited to announce our first ~SAO approved~ PEMCo event of the season: Musical Theater Trivia!!

The event will be Wednesday, September 16th, at 8pm in the Washington Hall MainStage!

Please fill out THIS form if interested in coming (if last minute you are able to come, please feel free to show up!)

ALL are welcome. Come make new friends and/or reunite with old ones!

ND Day 2020

Picture
As most of us know, ND Day is upon us! Notre Dame Day is all about giving back to your community, and for most of us, PEMCo is a large part of our community on campus, even after we graduate.

This year with Covid-19, we are doing everything we can to help keep musical theatre ALIVE on campus. To do this though, there have been extra costs for safety measures and for different performance spaces/equipment. With your help, PEMCo will more easily be able to provide performances and other theatre experiences throughout the entirety of the school year.

Already this semester, we have had our Gender Bender Cabaret, our fall show Gettin’ Out of Town: A PEMCo Revue, AND we are preparing behind the scenes for our spring production!

We want to keep our momentum going and we can’t do it without your help! So if you have the means, please consider donating to PEMCo this Notre Dame Day.

Here is the link to donate to PEMCo:
https://notredameday.nd.edu/organizations/pasquerilla-east-musical-company-pemco

Bonus! This year, every donator (with a minimum of $5) receives a face mask! We won’t mind if you’re only giving to PEMCo to get a face mask out of it ;)

Peace, Love, PEMCo,
Your 2020-2021 Producers

Music Directed by Sean Ford '23

In the midst of the glamour and debauchery of prohibition, beautiful vaudeville dancer Queenie throws the party-to-end-all-parties to save her relationship with her volatile lover Burrs. It's all fun, jazz, and liquor until the arrival of a newcomer threatens to tear Queenie's plan apart. Who's it gonna be?

FALL: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Picture
November 7th-9th
Washington Hall Lab Theatre
Directed by Katie Coury '22

When a Roman slave, Pseudolus, finds out that her young master has fallen in love with a beautiful but slow-witted virgin, she concocts a deal to win her freedom.  Complete with Roman gladiators, mistaken identities, scantily-clad courtesans, pirates, and a dance number or two, this hilarious comedy will have you running from the plague and straight into the theatre!
